Our Philosophy
We aim to provide opportunities for personal development and theatrical experience to individuals who are aspiring actors or who wish to be involved in the performing arts in any role, at any age through special performances of plays which have literary and artistic , rather than a commercial value, for Tasmanian communities.
Volunteer Learning & Training
Opportunities are provided to all volunteers to learn all facets of a theatrical production. These include Stage craft, directing and producing, performing, backstage roles, lighting and sound design, set design and creation, front of house management, costume design, musical direction, musical score composition, vocal coaching, logistics and management.
There are roles available in each production for all auditionees, whether it be on stage or behind the scenes.
Due to the literary nature of productions we are able to provide opportunities for local students studying drama and theatre to attend and review productions as part of their curriculum.
DoMaur Productions has averaged 4,500 volunteer hours per year since 2015 across all productions.
*All volunteers, financial members and committee are required to sign a code of conduct before being accepted into the organisation.
DoMaur Productions Incorporated is a Registered Charity with The Australian Charities And Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC)
